Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub

Pumpkin Spice Sugar Scrub

Oh, pure deliciousness... Get a spoon! **This blog contains affiliate links for products we use and recommend**

I had a request for a pumpkin spice sugar scrub...and I obliged. :-)

I don't know what possessed me to grate fresh cinnamon, but am I glad I did.  Have you ever done that?  My hands still smell like... YUM.

It's hard work, though so I didn't grate much. Tee hee hee! I sprinkled the fresh grated cinnamon on top of my sugar in a glass bowl. Because I'm an overachiever, OK?  OK...

No, it's too easy a recipe for me to keep it simple!  So it's a basic recipe of a cup of sugar, organic if you can, and a 1/4 cup melted coconut oil. That's it!  I also added an optional teaspoon of shea butter to the coconut oil and warmed that up right on top of the stove in my glass pyrex measuring cup. It melts quickly...

Next I added my Young Living Essential Oils to the melted coconut oil & shea butter and stirred:

Young Living Essential Oils:

2 Stress Away

2 clove
1 cardamom
2 nutmeg
3 cinnamon bark
(where to buy)

If I'm being totally honest, the essential oils are really hard to mess up. They smell delicious in just about any combination, and you can actually use ground spices if you wanted to. It's just that the Young Living Essential Oils have a LOT of health benefits that dried spices do not. (And yes, your skin will drink in what is on it's surface - true story!)

I also added an optional 1/2 teaspoon of organic vanilla to the oil mixture. Then I just mixed it all together in my glass bowl and used a canning jar funnel to easily jar it up.  And yes, I totally ate some!  I was worried about there not being enough for the picture!  LOL.  I mounded it all up in the front... There's a gaping hole in the back. :-)  I'm just warning you, if you make this, better make a little extra.  :-)

Here's a photo of the finished product and the ingredients.
