Quickie lemon infused vodka :-)

I stumbled upon this deliciousness at Mom4real.com and would love to share this idea with you! I had been looking for infused vodka ideas and this one is so QUICK, we just have to try it! Our favorite flavor combinations are going to be so fun to figure out. (Ehrmegerd, Jade Lemon?!?) Here's her article:

Summer is coming soon, right? Time for cocktails on the patio and fun with friends! My husband is a fan of citrus flavored vodkas, so I wanted to try and make my own as a surprise for him. I read a ton about making your own lemon infused vodka, and most of them take weeks to get the right flavor. I am not so patient, so I had a thought. What if I used my lemon essential oil to make some on the fly? I gave it a try on a small scale so I wouldn’t waste too much of anything, and WOW! It turned out amazing!!!

For my lemon infused vodka, I used Kirkland brand vodka from Costco (guys, it’s so good and so affordable), a few fresh lemons (more for looks than flavor), and lemon essential oils. I filled the jar up 3/4 of the way with vodka. Next, I added 25 drops of my lemon essential oils.

Finally, I sliced 3 lemons into wedges and added them to the jar. I gave it a good shake to mix all of the flavors together, and added a cute little label.

Cute, right? Matt loved it, and said I should make more to give to some of our friends as gifts! I’m so pleased with the way it turned out! Because there are no chemicals or preservatives, I am keeping ours in the refrigerator.

If you’d like to make your own and use the label that I made, you can click on the link below and print out your own! I printed mine on sticker paper, but you can totally print it on regular paper, cut it out and attach it to your jar using double sided tape!

How adorable is the printable label! How fun! I LOVE cocktails with benefits! Pfffft...this is therapeutic grade! A big thanks to Mom4real!

If you can't see the bright side, polish up the dull side - with some Young Living Lemon Essential Oil. :-)
